ACF on the International Stage: the Company’s Voice at the Largest Microfinance Conference

MFO Asian Credit Fund LLP (hereinafter referred to as the Company) informs about the participation of the management representatives in the 27th Annual Microfinance Centre (MFC) Conference held on May 27-29, 2025, in Tbilisi, Georgia. The theme of the Conference was Shifts, Shocks and Solutions: Microfinance in the Shadow of Geopolitics.
The Conference brought together more than 500 inclusive finance professionals from Europe, Central Asia, the Caucasus, and other regions, providing an important platform for sharing experiences in sustainable development, digitalization, and risk management.
As a part of the event, the Company’s representatives took part in the key thematic sessions:

  • Senad Sinanovic, a member of ACF Board of Directors and Director of Partner MKF (Bosnia and Herzegovina), participated in the session “Leadership in Fair Green Transition” devoted to the role of microfinance organizations in promoting climate-sustainable agriculture, social fairness, and supporting vulnerable populations.
  • Yana Chmelnicki, Member of ACF Board of Directors, spoke at the session “ESG Risk Management in Microfinance: From Global Trends to Local Sustainability”, where she presented the Inner Development Goals initiative – an approach to developing the internal skills (awareness, empathy, critical thinking, collaboration, etc.) that foster organizational sustainability.
  • Don Ginsel, a member of ACF Board of Directors, moderated the Conference’s opening panel session “Global Perspectives on Geopolitical Change and its Impact on Microfinance”, which discussed the challenges and opportunities for the sector against the backdrop of the current geopolitical trends.
  • Zhanna Zhakupova, Chairman of the ACF Board, spoke at the session “Artificial Intelligence in Operation: Latest Innovations to Transform Microfinance”. During her speech, she presented the practical examples of implementing the digital solutions in operations and customer processes, focusing on the innovations in lending, risk assessment and personalization of customer service.

The participation of the Company’s management in the largest international microfinance conference underscores ACF’s strategic involvement in global discussions on the future of sustainable and inclusive finance. The acquired knowledge and established professional relations will contribute to the Company’s further development in accordance with the best international practices.
