Money under control: financial literacy lessons for the new generation

On April 12, 2024, in Gagarin Secondary School of Sarykemer village of Bayzak district, a field training on “Financial Literacy” was held for 6th-grade students. The event was organized by the employees of the Sarykemer office of the Asian Credit Fund (ACF).

During the training, ACF specialists shared with children the critical aspects of financial literacy and discussed the topics of financial fraud, investments, and active and passive income. Special attention was paid to interactive games, which helped students to digest the material better. The active participants received gifts for participating and contributing to the discussion. At the end of the event, the students expressed their gratitude to ACF staff and shared their findings and understanding of the information they had learned.

ACF believes that financial literacy projects for the younger generation play an essential role in forming financially literate adults. Teaching young people the basics of financial management contributes to their personal development and benefits society as a whole. An economically literate population can manage their finances more effectively, which in turn contributes to the country’s economic development and citizens’ well-being.
