Green economy of Asian Credit Fund

Asian Credit Fund is 20 years.

During these years the Company supported nearly one hundred businessmen and households of Kazakhstan to the amount of 19 billion 520 mln. tenge. Microloans are provided for development of small business and support of households primarily in rural areas. 20th anniversary of the Company coincided with grand international event of our country – holding EXPO 2017 under the sign of “Energy of Future”.

According to five-year strategy of Asian Credit Fund adopted by the Board of Directors in 2015, 2017 was declared to be the year of Green Economy which entails increase of issue of the loans for rural population. Clean or “green” technologies making it possible to the country to avoid environmental crisis touching many post-industrial countries form the basis of green economy. The President of our state predefined high priority to this concept as one of primary factors on the way of further development of the country. ACF fully supports the strategy of resources economy for future generation proving its adherence by deals.

In 2012 the Company developed and implemented a special loan product for repair of house and commercial real estate with energy saving elements promoting decrease of the costs for heating, heat retention in cold season in houses and reduction of harmful emissions into the atmosphere. This loan is issued for installation and replacement of windows, heat insulation of roof and walls, arrangement of gas heating, replacement of stove heating, use of renewable sources of energy (for example, solar battery). The maximum sum of the loan is up to 1 000 000 tenge for 24 months term.

Implementation of energy saving measures allow families reducing their utility expenses, improving health of family members and increasing the cost of real estate due to construction/repair operations held. Since the moment of product implementation, nearly eight hundred loans have been issued to the amount of three hundred fifty million tenge.

Within the frameworks of “green principles” promotion in 2016 ACF installed 20 solar panels in rural office of Saryagash village. Solar panels were connected to batteries and invertor for production and accumulation of electrical energy that made it possible to supply the office with electricity.

Over the past 20 years, Asian Credit Fund has gained excellent clients-borrowers and such reliable, stable partners as Deutsche Bank, Incofin, responsibility, Oikocredit, MicroVest, MCE, USAID (U.S. Agency for International Development) and BFC Consulting Company.

In 2015 ACF became one of the founders of the World Financial Forum on support of small and medium business within the frameworks of the project of the International Financial Corporation (IFC). The activities of the Fund is audited by the Big Four of auditor companies.

ACF became the Leader of the National Business Rating for several times, including in the nomination “Reliable Taxpayer”. The Company constantly trains its employees and holds charitable actions in rural areas.
In 2008, during crisis period, ACF managed to increase its indicators that speaks for right strategy, professionalism of management and strong team of the Company.
